Wichita Eagle: Anderson Embraces Tea Party Ideals.

By Dion Lefler, Wichita Eagle

Wichita, Kansas- Jim Anderson was made for the tea party, and the tea party was made for Jim Anderson. While most of the Republican candidates in the Kansas 4th District have courted votes at the gatherings, none have embraced it and its agenda with Anderson’s vigor.

- Lowering Taxes - for it.
- Term Limits - for it.
- The FairTax Act - really for it.
- President Obama’s Health-Care Plan - against it.
- Federal Involvement In Education - against it.
- Big Government - dead set against it.

“We need to fundamentally reduce the size of government,” Anderson said.

  1. That is why Jim is our guy. He is ready to fight for our ideas and our ideals.

  2. Rajj may fake some of the people, but you can’t fake all this stuff. Goyle aint no conservative.

  3. Teaparty Mom says:

Anybody still want a congressman who used his fortune to buy the election?

  4. Michael Stockemer says:

One of the best things about the Tea Party Movement is that one need only subscribe to its principles and ideals to belong. There’s no formal membership, no dues, no card to carry. Just a willingness to speak out against those who are attempting to ruin our nation. For the Eagle to align Mr. Anderson with these ideals is a badge of honor and speaks to the man’s overall character. It is evidence that Jim is speaking “as” one of us and would be an excellent choice to speak “for” us in Washington.

As a former Mayor of Garden Plain, Kansas and a local business owner, I am pleased to endorse Jim Anderson for Congress. I believe he will deliver the desperately needed help to get our country back on track. It is especially refreshing to hear and see campaign advertisements with positive and uplifting content like Jim’s.

  5. This was a great article, and really showed me that there actually are some honest people who care and are running to help the people in this district. I am a registered Independent and did not start paying attention to this race until the deadline to register Republican had past.

I can assure you that you have my vote in the general. My family and I have really struggled over the last few years as so many have, and I believe your sincerity that you will fight for us. I know that it will not be easy, but you have a lot of passion and heart.

  6. I have really struggled with who to support in this race. I have not seen much advertising from your campaign thus far, so I had to dig, but am glad I did. I look forward to meeting you at the parade on Saturday and asking some tough questions.

By the way, thanks for not getting involved in the mud slinging.

  7. Glad to see the Eagle is finally paying attention. No doubt they, the other GOP candidates, and Goyle fear a real, true conservative that can get the people of this district off their couches. They are going to be in real trouble if Anderson can run ads and get his message out in the last two weeks.
