Joe the Plumber to speak in Wichita, and endorse Jim Anderson in the race.

Wichita, KS- Joe Wurzelbacher, or Joe the Plumber as he is more commonly known will visit Wichita to endorse Jim Anderson for the Kansas 4th district congressional seat.  Joe will speak with Jim Anderson at a town hall event at the Murdock Theatre, 536 N. Broadway in Wichita.  The event will feature a meet and greet and BBQ dinner with Jim and Joe provided by Two Brothers BBQ, beginning at 5:30 PM.  Admission to the town hall meeting is $5, and $25 will cover admittance to both the town hall, the pre-event dinner and will include a picture with Joe.  Tickets are available for advance purchase at the Postnet store, 2350 N. Joe the Plumber has been the champion of small-business owners and the working man since he was taped asking then Senator Barack Obama about his plan and philosophy of taxes.  To which Mr. Obama declared “I think when you spread the wealth around, it is good for everybody.”  On learning of Anderson’s candidacy Joe commented “I was excited to hear that a small-business owner and Constitution minded guy like Jim was willing to take some commonsense to Washington D.C.”  He continued, “Jim is exactly the kind of person we need in Kansas and across our country if we want to restore what has made us great, and keep our freedoms for our next generation.”  Joe reiterated that so many are out of touch with our country’s founding and what it means to be an American, he concluded “Benjamin Franklin said, “The Constitution only gives people the right to pursue happiness, you have to catch it for yourself.”

The town hall event will be a wide-ranging discussion on the issues of the day including focuses on individual responsibility and liberty, real citizen representation in Washington D.C. and basing decisions on principles rather than party politics.

Wichita, Kansas- Jim Anderson was made for the tea party, and the tea party was made for Jim Anderson. While most of the Republican candidates in the Kansas 4th District have courted votes at the gatherings, none have embraced it and its agenda with Anderson’s vigor.

Constitutional Conservative and Tea Party Republican candidate for Kansas 4th District, Jim Anderson, has been endorsed by the well-respected veterans group, Veterans 4 A Strong America (V4A). This support represents the first endorsement made by the group for a non-veteran. Jim Brock, Director of V4A, stated, “He is our first non-vet and we are proud to have him.” This group has obtained national notoriety for the Freedom Papers, which are doctrines that lay out what is expected and needed from both elected officials and citizens, in order to return and preserve America’s freedom.

On the V4A’s website, it lists Anderson as a “Patriot,” suggesting that America needs courageous individuals more than ever, who are ready to actually fight for the people. Jim, who carries a pocket Constitution in his shirt pocket and describes himself as a freedom fighter, has run an energetic race focused on the needs of Wichita and the 4th District.

That the Anderson campaign is still in the race and growing in the polls, after spending under $50,000, is a tribute to the power of Jim’s message and the growing support that is showing up in social networks like Twitter, Facebook, Linkedin, and Digg.

Folks, I know many of you made decisions early on to support one candidate or another.  You may have campaigned for them in good faith but now you are secretly concerned about how their campaign had been in the last few weeks.  You know that how a person behaves during difficult times, will tell you the depth of his/her character.  Has your candidate stood strong and held his/her values or have they turned ugly in the campaign?

You don’t want to look bad to your friends and family if you change your support right now but some of you may wish you could.  Just remember the number one fear of most people is the fear of criticism.  Heck, I am taking a risk sending you this message.  I want to support whoever wins the primary and this race is too close to call.

I was staying relatively quiet but this video reminded me why I founded Kansans for Liberty.  It also reminded me that there is only one true TEA Party Candidate in this race and that man is Jim Anderson.

Just remember, in America, your vote is still secret…. DO the right thing!
